Not His Quote, But One He Lived By


I first saw this quote on a milk carton and cut it out to keep. It was attributed to Nelson Mandela, but actually is by Marianne Williamson from her book “A Return to Love.”

Though not his quote, it was one he lived by. Rest in peace, Madiba.

I include it below as a road map for my life and hopefully yours as well.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
